Connecting to Existing Networks
Cloudistics simply and securely installs as a node on your existing network.
NETWORK TEAMS CREATES THE CONNECTION ONCE, THE INFRASTRUCTURE TEAM TAKES IT FROM THERE.
Cloudistics delivers a cloud experience behind your firewall, inclusive of the connection into your network for deployment. Simply installed as a node configured to attach to your existing network, Cloudistics allows the retention of existing security and network settings and maintains your existing network deployment parameters.
AON™ drastically simplifies the management between network and infrastructure virtualization teams by allowing a handoff—without friction—of network assignments and attachments.
Network teams can hand off subnets for control inside the Cloudistics platform so infrastructure teams can administer freely—VLAN connections, and VNET routing—under the set parameters still managed by the network team.
HOW IT WORKS
The Cloudistics platform does not interfere with your existing network configs and routing tables and relies on outside networking to reach the platform. Internally Cloudistics uses its routing ability to maintain the ecosystem inside the platform. For this reason, we are designed to have the existing network support a routing table to the subnets that will live in the Cloudistics platform, where the IP of the Cloudistics platform is the gateway for those subnets. In addition, any VLANs that will need to connect into the Cloudistics platform need to be accessible and trunked to the system. Finally, communication through port 443 is used for outbound traffic and allows Cloudistics to orchestrate from our SaaS Cloud Controller. Your firewall rules may need to be adjusted to make this possible. Cloudistics has a well-documented best practices guide available for any network configuration.
